Professional Journey
My career began in the corporate sector, where I held a senior public relations role for a well-known media communications group. I enjoyed this work, it was very much a time of ego development, but I always felt something was missing and it was not where my real passion lay, which was in understanding what it is to be human and how can we truly live a passionate and meaningful life. With more questions than answers I returned to academia, where I earned a Master’s degree in Health Psychology, a PhD in Medicine and Chartership with the British Psychological Society. It was a period of my life where I devoted myself to learning and teaching. I spent many earnest years absorbing all that I could from the library and the classroom as a Lecturer and Researcher in the fields of Medicine and Psychology. These were deeply valuable years that provided much insight and learning, which I now integrate into my clinical practice.

Classical Training
While I continue to work as an academic in the mental health field working in Psychedelic research, my primary role is as a Clinical Psychotherapist in private practice. I have undergone extensive training in various therapeutic modalities. My principal training at Oxford University in Psychodynamic Practice has been further complemented by training in CBT, Depth Psychology, Jungian Psychology, and other transpersonal approaches, allowing me to tailor my therapeutic methods to effectively meet the unique needs of my clients.

Psychedelic Assisted Therapy
Although my clinical training is rooted in classical therapeutic methodologies, I have a deep interest in plant medicines and other lesser known wisdom traditions. From my own personal experiences with plant medicines I have come to know myself at much deeper level than I had from all the textbooks and indeed therapeutic enquiry. This interest led me to train as Psychedelic-Assisted Practitioner with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) in Sarajevo under Marcela Ot’alora and Bruce Poulter. The ground breaking work by MAPS in MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD has been particularly inspiring, and I was privileged to be among the first cohorts of international therapists trained in this innovative approach. While PAT is not currently legally available in the UK, I am available to discuss how to access this deeply transformative therapy and I do work internationally with clients, where plant medicines are decriminalised for use.
Integrity & Commitment
In addition to my clinical work, I am deeply committed to upholding the highest standards of trust, integrity, and ethics in my practice. I am a member of several accrediting bodies, including the UKCP, BACP, UPCA, BPS, and IPT, which ensures that I adhere to rigorous ethical guidelines and professional standards. I am supervised both in my psychotherapeutic work and as a Psychedelic-Assisted Practitioner. I am also dedicated to ongoing training and development, continually enhancing my skills to provide the best possible compassion and care for my clients.
